What does Scene charge?
5.9% + $0.79 service fee per ticket. Card processing is included because Scene is the merchant of record, so there's no separate processing fee on top. There is no monthly or listing fee.
How is that different from Eventbrite?
Eventbrite in the US charges roughly 6.6% + $1.79 per ticket once card processing is added, and 6.95% + £0.59 in the UK. Scene is 5.9% + $0.79 with processing included — so you keep more, especially as your ticket price rises. Use the calculator above to compare your own numbers.
Will my event get taken down like on Eventbrite or Stripe?
That's exactly why Scene exists. When do I get paid?
After your event, once the card settlement funds clear. You get a branded payout receipt showing exactly what was collected, Scene's fee, and your net.
Do my attendees have to use their real name?
No. Scene is pseudonymity-first — attendees use a scene name. For 21+ events, door staff can verify a photo ID for age without Scene ever storing a legal name.
Can I still use my own site or another platform?
Yes. You can list an event with an external ticket link, or sell through Scene to get lower fees plus check-in, payouts and discovery. Many organizers move one event over first to try it.
