  • New

Choose who pays the service fee

Organizers can now absorb Scene's service fee instead of passing it to buyers — flip it on under Manage → Service fee and buyers see a clean, all-in price while the fee comes out of your payout. Off by default, so you keep 100% of face value unless you opt in.

Sun, Aug 23, 2026

  • Improved

Organizers keep 100% of the ticket price

Ticket fees now work like every major ticketing platform: buyers pay a small service fee at checkout (6% + $0.99 per ticket, card processing included) and organizers are paid out the full face value of every ticket sold. Free tickets stay free.

Sat, Aug 22, 2026

  • New

Apple Pay & Google Pay at checkout

Buy tickets in one tap with the wallet already on your phone — no card number to type. iPhone buyers see Apple Pay, Android buyers see Google Pay, and everyone else pays by card as before.

  • Improved

Compare all your events at a glance

A new “Compare events” view lines up every event you host or co-host side by side — saves, RSVPs, tickets sold, gross, and check-in turnout — so you can see what's working. Open it from your account or any event's Insights.

  • New

    Set your own service fee

Organizers can add a booking/service fee (a percentage and/or a flat amount per ticket) on top of Scene's fee. The buyer sees it clearly at checkout and it's paid out to you.

  • New

    Promoter links & affiliate tracking

Give each promoter their own shareable link and see exactly how many sales they drove, with optional commission tracking — so you know who's bringing the crowd. Find it under your event's Promoters tab.

  • New

    Sell tickets at the door

A new box office lets you sell a ticket in person — cash or card — and issue a real QR on the spot, separate from checking people in. Great for walk-ups on the night.

  • New

    Weekend & season passes

Mark a ticket as a multi-day pass and it works across every day of an event weekend — scanning in once per day at the door. One purchase, all-weekend access.

  • New

Group discounts — reward bigger orders

Add automatic quantity discounts to a ticket, like “buy 5+ and save 10%.” The discount applies itself at checkout with no code to type, and stacks with a promo code if you run one.

  • New

    Bundle tickets into packages

Sell a package at its own price that includes several tickets at once — say “Weekend + workshop” or a group table — and each one arrives as its own scannable QR. Set it up as a ticket type and pick what it includes.

  • New

Private preview links for unlisted events

Organizers can share a private preview link to a test or not-yet-published event, so specific people can open it — and even buy a ticket — without it appearing in the public feed. The link is in your event's Manage → Share panel while the event is hidden.

  • New

Choose how people get in — right when you create an event

The event form now has a clear “Tickets & entry” choice up front: sell or offer tickets on Scene, link out to tickets you sell elsewhere, or take free RSVPs. Selling and comps are easy to find, and there's a one-tap path to get set up to sell.

  • Improved

Apple & Google Wallet — the right pass for your phone

Ticket wallet passes now work on both Apple Wallet (iPhone) and Google Wallet (Android), and everywhere you see the option — your ticket, the confirmation email, the post-purchase screen — you're shown only the one that fits your device. No more dead buttons.

  • New

    Early-bird & auto-advancing ticket prices

Set a ticket to climb through price levels on its own — Early bird → … → Final release — advancing automatically on a date, after a number of tickets sell, or whichever comes first. Buyers always pay the level that's live when they check out, with a heads-up before the price goes up.

  • Improved

    Smarter, fairer ratings

Ratings now weight verified check-ins and recent nights more heavily, so they reflect people who were actually there and how a place runs today. Venue and host profiles show what people praise most, and the Top rated page now features standout hosts too.

Fri, Aug 21, 2026

  • New

    Community favorite hosts & venues

Star ratings from your reviews now roll up to the venue and the host who ran the night. Standout spaces and hosts earn a Community favorite badge, and a new Top rated page helps you find the best venues near you.

Thu, Aug 20, 2026

  • Improved

Fairer handling when an event is reported

If we take down an event after a report, the organizer now gets an email explaining what happened and how to appeal — and if they'd paid to promote it, we can refund that boost in full. Transparency both ways.

  • New

Interests & a smarter “For you” feed

Tell Scene what you're into — rope, impact, leather, bootblacking, and more — from your account, and the “For you” feed will float matching events higher. Organizers can tag their events too so the right people find them.

Wed, Aug 19, 2026

  • New

A “Following” view of your feed

Tap Following on the feed to see only events from the hosts, venues, and cities you follow — your people and places in one place. Combine it with any city or type filter to narrow further.

  • Improved

Ratings and “friends going” on event cards

The feed now shows an event's star rating at a glance, and — when you're signed in — a note when people you follow are going. Easier to spot the events worth your night.

Tue, Aug 18, 2026

  • New

    Recap photo galleries

After an event wraps, the people who were there — the host, co-hosts, and anyone who marked themselves going — can post recap photos right on the event page. Relive the night, and give newcomers a real feel for the vibe before they go.

  • New

    Reviews & vibe-checks for events

Went to an event? Once it's over you can leave a quick vibe check — a star rating, tags like “consent-forward” or “welcoming”, and an optional note. Reviews from people who were checked in show a verified badge, so the community can find events that feel right for them.

  • New

Follow the hosts and venues you love

You can now follow an organizer or a venue right from an event or venue page. When they post a new event, we'll email you (and send a push if you're signed in) so you never miss a party from your favourites.

  • New

Get notified when tickets go on sale

On events where ticket sales haven't opened yet, you can now tap “Notify me” to be first to know. We'll send you a single email (and a push, if you're signed in) the moment tickets go live — no need to keep checking back.

Sat, Aug 15, 2026

  • Improved

New shop drops, front and centre

The newest merch now gets its own “New & exciting” spot at the top of the shop, so it's easy to see what just landed.

Fri, Aug 14, 2026

  • New

Bootblack tees — and our first hoodies

New in the shop: a bootblack-edition drop with the Scene beacon on tees in five colourways, plus our first-ever hoodies in eight. Printed on demand and shipped worldwide — every order helps keep Scene free.

Thu, Aug 13, 2026

  • Fixed

Imported events show special characters correctly

Titles and locations pulled in from a calendar feed now display emoji and punctuation properly, instead of raw character codes.

  • Improved

    Friendlier event links

Event and ticket links now use the event's name instead of a long string of characters, so a link you share reads like the event itself. Older links still work.

  • Improved

    A redesigned organizer dashboard

Managing an event is now a proper dashboard — quick-jump sections for tickets, guests, orders, codes, and sharing, an at-a-glance sales and payout summary, and one Share panel with a copy link, an embed snippet, and a scannable QR code for your ticket page.

  • Improved

    A cleaner ticket page

The shareable ticket page got a full redesign: a poster hero, clear event details with a map link, and a tidy panel with your packages, add-ons, and codes all in one place.

  • New

    Early-access and presale codes

Hide a ticket tier behind a code so only people who have it can see and buy it — perfect for presales, member early-access, or VIP tiers. Buyers enter the code on the ticket page to unlock the hidden tickets.

  • New

Free tickets and comp guest passes

Offer free tickets or hand out complimentary guest passes with no card required — each one still delivers a real QR entry pass by email. Set a ticket to free, or use a 100%-off code for your comp list, and checkout skips payment entirely.

Wed, Aug 12, 2026

  • Improved

Event cards show the venue and host

Cards and lists now make the venue clearer and label who's hosting, so you can tell where an event is and who's running it at a glance.

  • Fixed

The 18+ screen works in in-app browsers

The age-confirmation screen now works inside apps' built-in browsers — like Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok — where it could previously get stuck, so you can enter the site without opening a separate browser.

Tue, Aug 4, 2026

  • New

Scan a poster to fill in your event

When you add an event, upload the poster and Scene reads it to pre-fill the details it can find — title, date, time, venue, and more — so you can post in seconds and just tidy up the rest.

Sat, Aug 1, 2026

  • Improved

    Share events in a tap

Every event page now has a prominent share row with one-tap buttons for the places you actually post, so getting the word out takes a single tap.

Fri, Jul 31, 2026

  • New

Returns and exchanges in the shop

Shop orders can now be returned or exchanged, with a clear policy and a simple request flow.

Wed, Jul 29, 2026

  • New

Suggest an edit to an event or venue

Spot a wrong time, address, or detail? You can now suggest an edit to any event or venue, and our moderators review it — so listings stay accurate even when the organizer isn't around.

Tue, Jul 28, 2026

  • Improved

    Faster page loads

We trimmed and split the code the site loads up front, so pages open faster — especially the first one you land on.

  • New

    Get “What's new” by email

You can now subscribe to this What's new feed and get a short email when we ship something — no account needed.

Sun, Jul 26, 2026

  • Improved

Search and sort the venue directory

The venues page now has a live search box and sort options — most active, A–Z, or by city — plus country and city filters, instead of a long wall of city chips.

  • New

Event weekends: one page for the whole run

A festival or multi-day weekend can now group all its parties, workshops, and sessions under one event. Its page lays out a day-by-day schedule, each session links to its own page with its own tickets, and you can add the whole weekend to your calendar in one tap. In city feeds a weekend shows as a single card instead of flooding the list.

Thu, Jul 23, 2026

  • Fixed

Fixed a crash on iPhone Safari

Some iPhone users on Safari hit a repeating “a problem repeatedly occurred” error opening Scene. That's fixed — the home page loads reliably again.

  • Improved

    Age limits follow local law

Event age limits now default to the host country's legal drinking age — 21+ in the US and other 21+ countries, 18+ elsewhere — so every listing shows the right minimum.

  • New

Suggest a venue with its calendar

Suggesting a venue now lets you add its public calendar feed (Google Calendar, iCal, or RSS). Once a moderator vets the source, its events auto-import, so a space's whole schedule can flow into Scene.

  • Improved

    Just enter your @handle

When adding an event or venue you can now type your social handle (e.g. @yourclub) instead of pasting the full profile URL — Scene builds the link for you.

  • Improved

    Event descriptions keep their formatting

Imported and pasted descriptions now render their formatting — links, lists, line breaks — instead of showing raw code, so listings read cleanly.

  • New

    Tank tops in the shop

The shop now carries the Scene beacon on a lightweight tank in five colourways alongside the tees, with the front page split into T-shirts and Tank tops so each collection is easy to browse. Picking a colour swaps the photo so you see exactly what you're ordering.

Fri, Jul 17, 2026

  • Improved

One weekly roundup instead of an email per event

Following a city now sends a single, well-formatted weekly roundup of what's on near you — grouped by city — instead of an email every time an event is approved. Prefer daily, every-event, or none? Change it any time under “Email me about new events” in your account.

  • Improved

Event times everywhere — in the right zone

Reminders, notifications, digests, and share cards now include each event's start time, and online events show the time zone (e.g. “8:00 PM CST”) so a worldwide audience always knows exactly when to join.

  • New

Find events you can join from anywhere

A new Online filter and a dedicated Online events page gather every virtual and hybrid event in one place, with an “Online” badge on cards and shared links so you can spot them at a glance.

  • New

    Host online & hybrid events

Post an event that happens online — or both online and in person. Choose Online or Hybrid when you post, add your join link, platform, and time zone. The join link stays private and is shared only after someone RSVPs, so it can't be scraped — then it appears on the event page, in your reminders, and in your calendar, one tap from joining.

Mon, Jul 13, 2026

  • New

Two new guides: play parties & finding classes

Two beginner-friendly, non-explicit guides join the hub — “What is a play party?” and “How to find kink & BDSM classes near you” — with plain-language answers and links from every city.

Sat, Jul 11, 2026

  • Fixed

Multi-day events stay listed until they're over

Weekend-long and multi-day events no longer drop off the home feed and city listings the moment they begin — they stay visible right through their final day.

Fri, Jul 10, 2026

  • New

Put the cities you follow in your calendar

Your private calendar subscription can now include the upcoming events in the cities you follow — not just the ones you've saved. Choose saved events, followed cities, or both from your account.

  • New

    Saved searches with instant alerts

Save a search — any mix of city, event type, and keyword — and get an email (and optional push) the moment a new matching event is approved. Manage your saved searches from your account.

  • New

For you — a personalized feed

Signed in? Switch the feed to “For you” and events are ranked around the cities you follow and the kinds of events you save and RSVP to, with a nudge for what's happening soon. Plain “Upcoming” is always one tap away.

  • New

    Follow members you know

Follow members with a public profile and see when someone you follow is going to an event you're looking at. Manage who you follow from your account; follows are private to you.

  • New

Block members & a new safety center

Block a member to hide them from your guest lists and connections — and find every safety tool, plus your blocked list, in the new safety center.

  • New

    Organizer profiles

Members who host events now get an Organizer profile — upcoming and previously-hosted events, how long they've been on Scene, their vouches and verified badge — so attendees can check a track record. Tap an organizer's name on any event.

  • New

    Event insights for organizers

Every event you host now has an Insights page — saves, RSVPs, and for ticketed events tickets sold, gross, and check-in turnout, with simple conversion rates. Works for free events too, and never shows page views (browsing stays private).

  • New

    Add co-hosts to your events

Give a trusted member management access to an event — they can edit it, run tickets, see insights, and check people in — from the Manage dashboard. Only the creator can delete the event or change the co-host list.

  • New

    Duplicate an event

Running a recurring night or an annual party? Hit Duplicate on any of your events to open a fresh submission pre-filled from the original — just pick a new date. Co-hosts can duplicate too.

  • Improved

Exact shipping & tax in the shop

Enter your address in the cart and the shop now shows your real shipping rate (straight from the print partner) instead of a flat estimate, with any sales tax calculated transparently at payment.

  • New

    Invite friends to Scene

Every account now has a private invite link. Share it, and when someone joins Scene through it you're credited — invite three who join and you earn the Community builder badge on your profile.

  • New

    Push notifications

Turn on push to get event reminders and saved-search alerts on your device — enable it from the prompt at the top or under Event reminders in your account.

  • New

The full flag lineup is in the shop

Every Pride and kink beacon tee is now live — Progress, Leather, Rubber, Pup, Bear, Trans, and more — plus a new Cat design, all in inclusive sizing XS–3XL.

  • New

    One-tap add to calendar

Add any event straight to Apple, Google, or Outlook from its page — pick your calendar and go.

  • Improved

    Your schedule, sorted

Your saved events now split into Upcoming (soonest first) and Past (most recent first), so what's next is always on top.

Wed, Jul 8, 2026

  • Fixed

Imported events show the correct local time

Calendar (ICS) feeds no longer land a day — or an hour — off. Times now resolve to the event's own city and time zone, with daylight saving handled correctly.

  • New

    Add your own event feeds

Point Scene at a calendar (ICS) or RSS URL from your account and its events import automatically — owned by you and editable under Your events.

  • New

    Change your account email

Update the email on your account yourself — we send a confirmation link to the new address so a typo can never lock you out.

  • Improved

    Unique scene names

Scene names are now one-per-member, so there's no confusion between people sharing a handle.

  • New

Share an RSVP to your Instagram story

Going to something? Post a branded story card with the event poster, the Scene beacon, and a link back to the event.

  • New

Search a city between two dates

Filter a city's events to a date range, or sort by soonest, most popular, or by date — pick from the search dropdown.

  • Improved

    Tappable map pins

In map view, events in a pin's popup now open straight to their full event page.

  • New

    Scene merch

The shop is live with the Scene beacon tee and Pride-flag colorways, printed and shipped on demand.

Earlier
